An electric supercar? Not sure that it could happen until we saw the SLS AMG E-Cell. Hitting 0 to 62 in 3.9 seconds should answer any questions about whether or not an electric car can still perform at supercar speeds. The SLS AMG E-Cell sports four electric motors across the back, no exhaust (doesn't need it), and an unusual shade of “AMG lumilectric magno." Start saving now--this eco-friendly ride is expected to hit dealerships sometime in 2013.

Mercedes-Benz A-Class E-CELL Overview
Mercedes-Benz is committed to the electric vehicle technology. Following on the heels the successful B-Class F-Cell fuel cell car, the A-Class E-Cell is giving Europe a locally emission-free electric drive. With two lithium-ion batteries giving a range of up to 200 km, the A-Class E-Cell is poised to make its mark in the European market. While it's not slated for the US market, we're excited to see new strides in fuel efficiency!
