New details have emerged on the upcoming SLC. So what we know so far is
that it will be the little sibling to the current SLS AMG®. We previously
thought that the SLS AMG® was going to be discontinued and replaced with the SLC. But that is not
the case and we have learned to help differentiate the models, the SLC will not
have the gullwing doors. The SLC will be lighter and smaller than the SLS,
utilizing carbon fiber and aluminum.
Also it will have an all new engine, a 4.0 liter V8 engine producing 450 hp and
the Black Series will have a 500 hp version of the same engine. The SLC is going to be positioned as the main
rival for the Porsche 911. Hopefully we will see the coupe and convertible
version of the SLC sometime in 2015.
