Got iPad? Configure Your Own CLS!

Configuration programs are springing all over the Internet and with that in mind, the US Mercedes-Benz applied this new marketing strategy, an iPad app that allows users to configure their own CLS. This is an effort to promote the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS.

The application is initially available for dealership sales associates, however, they made it available recently through the Apple App Store. Customize your virtual car, get vehicle information plus videos and images and get virtual tours of the car’s interior and exterior. All these features available at the App Store free. So those who can’t afford the price tag of the Mercedes-Benz CLS this is already a great thing to have.

This is not the first time that Mercedes-Benz used the iPad technology as they have already shown new ways of attaching the device in their cars but this is their first time to launch an application and the company is expected to launch more application for different car models throughout the year.

The 2012 Mercedes Benz A-Class Sketch Spilled

It is way to early to reveal the 2012 Mercedes Benz A-Class’ design however, Belgian website Autscoops.be was able to get a hold of its sketch and gave us a sneak on what the new model will look like.

This car looks like the conceptual car without the deep creases that are all over the Concept A-Class. The hypnotic grille is also not in the new car as well, it seems. Mercedes-Benz is still expected to revamp a few things on the model as it definitely will show more individuality upon its release in the market.

Some of its characteristics also shows some of the CLS-class with its familiar mug and the curving roof-line. The model is a five-door A-class and the company‘s turbo-charging direct-injection technology is expected to be incorporated in the production model with additional gasoline options and new line up of diesel engines.

Pretty excited to see it in an auto show late this year. Reports say that it will make its premiere in September at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.
