Mercedes-Benz Art Cars Come to Berlin Fashion Week

Art imitates life? Maybe, but it certainly depends on your interpretation. These fantastic Mercedes-Benz Art Cars showcase the interpretation of the years 1967 through 1991. The artist of “Recollection Quartett,”  Antwerp, Belgian artist and photographer Frederik Heyman, created four scenes from this time period that best reflects his interpretation of these four cars.

Created for Fashion Week and produced by Mercedes-Benz and MoMu Fashion Museum, this exhibit is a reminder that the Mercedes-Benz legacy spans eras. And that concept art often needs explaining.

Celebrating 55 Years of the Convertible

Seattle may not be known for its "convertible weather" though we all know that the sunny days we do have make it more than worth it! For the last 55 years, Mercedes-Benz has created luxury vehicles that add even more driving excitement once the top is back. Starting with the 190 SL and culminating so far with the 2012 SLK-Class Roadster, Mercedes-Benz has once again outdone themselves.

The Mercedes-Benz convertible has a long and illustrious history. Both Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra drove one of the 190 SL vehicles—both on and off the set. In 1994, Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts saw the first SLK model, and once again history was made. Now the SLK is setting the standard in roadster style, and soon you can be one of the first to experience this third-generation styling at Mercedes-Benz of Lynnwood.

Mercedes-Benz of Lynnwood: Rent an SLR McLaren Roadster? Why Not?

It'll be a long drive to get it to Seattle, but if you're looking for the ultimate ride to impress your date, what's a few thousand miles (and dollars). Especially when that ride is a classy silver Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster that's been clocked hitting 0 to 60 mph at 3.3 seconds. It's possible to rent this dream Mercedes-Benz for about $1,450 from Gotham Dream Cars in Miami, and that's much more economical than the half-million dollar price tag.

Unfortunately, Miami is about as far from Seattle as you can get, so your friends (and your date) aren't going to be able to see you tooling up and down the I-5 corridor.
