After Ducati and Mercedes-Benz formed a marketing partnership last November, it’s time for Ducati to get the side benefit of that partnership, a CLS 63 AMG coupe as a company car for CEO Gabriele del Torchio. It is also reported that MotoGP racer Nicky Hayden of the Ducati team also received his CLS 63. Other member of the Ducati MotoGP team are expected to receive their cars from AMG as well.
The CLS 63 is said to be one of the most efficient and powerful V8 engine with it 5.5 liter V8 having 557 horsepower and a torque of 590 lb.ft. The SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission sends the maximum power to the rear wheels helping in keeping the fuel consumption to a low 9.9 liters per hundred kilometers.
Del Torchio said this about his new company car, ““I’m already looking forward to having fun at the wheel of the new CLS 63 AMG, which to me really seems to offer the perfect synthesis of power, elegance and efficiency. We are working hard on the implementation of the first joint projects between AMG and Ducati.”
